Football clubs look to fill the lack of footballing void as a proposed video game tournament is set to take place due to the coronavirus outbreak.
With all league football across the globe being postponed until the beginning of April, football fans and teams are looking to fill the period by taking it online.
League Two side Leyton Orient proposed the idea of a 64 team knockout competition to take place on Fifa 20 where each club will have one representative who will either be a fan or a first team player.
The club tweeted: “We need 63 other teams to enter a knock-out FIFA 20 tournament. To enter, all we need is the club to RT this tweet.”
After gaining worldwide attention from clubs from France, Holland and Germany it was extended to 128 teams.
Teams such as Manchester City, Feyenoord, Hamburger SV and Amiens SC have all responded accepting the challenge.
The tweet has gained a lot of traction in the past 24 hours as the hashtag #UltimateQuarenTeam was trending in the United Kingdom.

After Championship side Hull City and Bundesliga side Bayern Leverkusen played Connect Four on twitter for just shy of three hours, Orient decided to up the ante.
There is not yet an arranged time or date for when the tournament will kickoff.
Football fans also filled their weekend without football by taking the virtual dugout themselves as Football Manager 20 reached a record high number of players via the hosting platform Steam.
Football Manager director Miles Jacobson tweeted: “#FM20 is currently being played by 84,063 of you via Steam, which is a new record. And likely to go up further today.”
He then later tweeted “Up to 89,864 now.”
Football in England is due to return on the fourth of April but the EFL board will meet later this week to discuss the rest of the season.
